Popular app gains traction with holders of physical therapy jobs

People holding physical therapy jobs have an enormously valuable tool available to them that also is readily accessible on iPads, according to a press release.

Containing more than 60 high-quality videos, Motion Doctor is geared toward helping people uphold healthy, pain free lifestyles. Physical therapists can reference it to demonstrate to patients the proper method of performing exercises.

"With the widespread adoption of smart phones and iDevices such as the iPad, the medical community at large must continue to keep up with the rapid pace of mobile technology," said chief executive officer Gregg Weiss with Blue Whale Apps, the company that developed the application. "The Motion Doctor iPad app brings Physical Therapy exercises to consumers who can now practice these routines anywhere. Once the Motion Doctor iPad app is downloaded, a WiFi or 3G connection is not needed to experience over 60+ high quality instructional videos."

Patients are able to capitalize on the application by viewing footage anywhere, such as at home. They then will be performing the exercises correctly.

Released less than one year ago, the application gained a measure of notability by achieving "New and Noteworthy" and "What's Hot" status on iTunes, where it also scaled to second place for a medical application.
