Physical therapy and so much more offered at Arizona facility

A state-of-the-art complex in Arizona helps patients recover from various physical ailments and has many methods of streamlining the recovery on top of traditional physical therapy, the Ahwatukee Foothills News reports.

Santé of Surprise is a transitional home that typically hosts patients for as many as 30 days. The additional rehabilitative therapies include outdoor therapy, musical therapy, aroma therapy and massage therapy. The facility also has many surfaces on which patients can walk to simulate other surroundings.

"We're meeting an unmet need and adding to a continuum of care that's missing right now," executive director Jana McDonald told the publication. "We want to give people a place that meets their expectations from a hospitality standpoint."

Those who fulfill the physical therapy jobs at the facility are quick to show off the various perks, which include a salon, a bistro and wireless throughout the complex. The capacity of the facility is 70 patients.

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, career prospects for physical therapists are good and those who would like to work in the industry typically require a post-baccalaureate degree.
