It’s that time of year. The snow (and there’s a lot!) is starting to melt and give way to spring showers and May flowers. This time of year always brings thoughts of what we each need to do to ready our homes for the spring and summer. Long lists encompassing tedious chores such as packing away the winter clothes to washing windows and screens tend to take the majority of our free time. Getting Along with Coworkers

As a traveling healthcare professional, you will work with a variety of people at each location. Most of us spend more time with our coworkers than our own families. Because of this we must learn how to deal with coworkers in the appropriate manner. Getting along with coworkers is just as important as getting along with the boss. And because there are usually so many more coworkers than supervisors, it requires additional effort. However, it is usually just a matter of tolerance, respect, and courtesy.

A Trip of a Lifetime

Stephanie Ahlmann, a Staffing Coordinator/Background & Reference Specialist in the Aureus Medical Group Nursing division, recently visited Thailand to catch up with her relatives whom she has only met a few times. In honor of her trip, Stephanie wanted to do something special for her family, so she made arrangements to donate a laptop computer to her nephew’s 6th grade English classroom. In the spirit of giving, the Aureus Medical Group Nursing Admin team organized a fundraising breakfast in early January to help Stephanie purchase the computer. Stephanie tells us in her own words about her adventure and the culture of this third world country.

Beating the Winter Blues
