It’s April, which means it’s the time of year when we get to celebrate Occupational Therapy Month! Over its long history, the OT profession has seen many healthcare changes as well as advancements in technology, skill sets, and therapeutic practices. Through all of that change, there has been a constant: the exceptional care Occupational Therapists and Assistants provide as well the positive impact they have on the daily lives of their patients.
The stories of how Occupational Therapists and Assistants have impacted patients and their families are countless. Whether it’s helping an injured person recover to gain the necessary daily skills to return to their normal way of life, assisting an elderly person so they can continue to live comfortably at their home, or provide a child the opportunity to participate in normal school activities and interact with their friends, the reach of a therapist’s care is immeasurable. For those things and the many other ways OTs and OTAs passionately pursue ways to help people improve their daily lives, we at Aureus Medical wish to sincerely say – THANK YOU.
