Make Yourself Unforgettable (In a Good Way)

Over the years, with feedback from both contract employees in the field and clients that we service, our Account Managers have discovered a few things that make a world of difference when starting a new contract and working with a new facility. We’ve compiled few helpful hints for our travelers to help ensure that they receive excellent appraisals at the end of each assignment and thus asked to extend or return another time.

Communication/Behavior
Any communication with coworkers, patients and superiors must at all times be professional. We understand that working in a facility with people for an extended time can cause us to relax and not pay as much attention to our behavior. Be friendly. Do not be condescending or try to push your own personal beliefs on others. Aureus Medical employees are a guest in the clients’ house. You should always remain friendly, helpful and flexible and never forget that you are a guest. Guests who behave in a compatible manner with the staff have a higher chance of being extended or being invited back at a later date.

Work Areas
Taking pride in your work areas should always be a priority. As a guest, make sure to clean up after yourself. Put equipment and charts back in the proper place in a clean, organized manner for others and offer to help co-workers when you have free time.

Lasting Impressions
It is important that you leave a positive last impression on the facility and its employees when your assignment is ending. We want our employees to fit in seamlessly when they arrive as well as be missed when they are gone. The final appraisal has a lot of weight when we evaluate who would be the best fit for another assignment. All assignment appraisals are forwarded to the employee’s next potential supervisor. If your appraisal is positive, you will make a lasting impression everywhere you go and make it a lot easier to obtain your next assignment.
