The Speech Therapy Division will be representing Aureus Medical Group at the upcoming Annual ASHA Conference in Philadelphia, PA, November 18-20. This year’s convention theme is “Leadership Into New Frontiers.” At this conference you will be able to connect with other ASHA members, hear about wonderful opportunities, and learn more about the latest research and clinical procedures. This experience will also help grow your network. Along with the learning sessions and meeting others, you will be able to enjoy the wonderful festivities that will be put on by ASHA. To kick off the convention they are having an opening session with awards and special entertainment. There will also be a wine tasting, breakfast, and a closing session.

Philadelphia is a great city to visit for the ASHA conference. They have amazing restaurants, theaters, and museums to tour. It’s is a walkable city and many neighborhoods are easily accessible on foot. Click here for ideas on what to do and where to go.

If you don’t have that GPA now, I’d start working to bring it up becusae it won’t come up on it’s own. Biology is a good degree for those wishing to move onto graduate school for other health care careers, but in of itself, is difficult to find a job with just the Biology degree.I’d consider going back and becoming an athletic trainer some of the prerequisites for PT overlap. If you still don’t get into PT after that, at least you’ve got a job you can fall back on.
