Nurses expound on the satisfaction, rewards their career delivers

Nursing jobs have the capacity to deliver a fierce satisfaction to people who pursue the career, Hispanic Business reports.

Josh Halon is a registered nurse who felt strongly about being of assistance to people. Two forces that inspired him include the September 11, 2001 attacks and the economic downturn that followed.

"I developed a passion there that led me to nursing. I learned I have a heart for caring for people in need," said Halon, also a nursing administration master's degree candidate. "My passion has evolved to leading and working with the future nursing workforce and being an advocate for the profession."

Halon said the chance to aid people when they are sick and unsure of what is happening while at the facility where he works is extremely valuable as it provides the opportunity to change a person's life for the better.

Responsibilities of a nurse include providing and coordinating patient care, educating patients and other people about a myriad of health conditions, and providing guidance, direction and support to people in need, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
