Aureus Medical is happy to announce its Employees of the Quarter. Employees are nominated by their Account Managers each quarter. The winners will then be included in the 2014 Employee of the Year nominations. Congratulations to all!
Adrian C., Registered Dietitian
Adrian has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Cardiopulmonary and Allied Health Division of Aureus Medical Group. Adrian has completed six assignments for Aureus and is our longest tenured Dietician traveler. He is one of those workers that you never have to worry about once he commits to a job; he is always hard working, professional, and very good clinically. He has been liked so much that he has been asked back to two different clients.
Adrian was asked to train a new employee before he left an assignment. The employee sent us this feedback:
“I wanted to let you know how impressed I am with Adrian C. Adrian is a conscientious person who has worked especially hard to make my transition easier. He has also been very patient with me while I was learning how to be a dialysis RD and how to document the nutrition interventions. The staff appreciates his efforts and are sorry to see him leave. I hope that Adrian will be offered many travel assignments through Aureus. He would be an asset to any medical facility that requires a “temp” RD.”
James C., Sonographer
James has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Diagnostic Imaging Division of Aureus Medical Group. James has worked several long-term contracts for Aureus, most recently in California. On this assignment, the department is understaffed so a lot of responsibility falls on him. In one week, he worked 45 hours, had 73 hours of call, and three call backs. One of our other traveling techs actually called to nominate James for this award because on two occasions, James was away on overnight trips and came back early to scan patients because the FT techs that were on call were not available. Aureus is extremely lucky to have a great employee like James.
Margaret (Peggy) B., Medical Technologist
Peggy has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Medical Laboratory Division of Aureus Medical Group. Peggy started with Aureus in 2010 and is on her 8th assignment. During this time, she has never taken more than a month off. She is a very hard worker and is always willing to go above and beyond for the client. Peggy has returned to several facilities for repeat assignments and this is a testament to the person, tech and co-worker that she is while on assignment. Peggy is a true gem and we are lucky to have her as part of the Aureus team.
Andre W., RN
Andre has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Andre worked for Aureus from 2006-2009 before taking some time off when his twin sons were born. He started traveling again in 2012. During this time, he has completed 12 contracts. Due to his young children, he needs to stay within 4 hours of home, and he is willing to work in a variety of settings to accommodate this, from level I trauma to pediatric hospitals to critical access; anything he is qualified to do, he will gladly do. Andre has been asked to return to hospitals where he’s worked previously and is often asked to extend. These are comments from recent evaluations and references:
- Always willing to change assignments and do what is needed when asked. Open to hospital requests to change scheduled shifts to days of staffing needs.
- Always treats our patients and their families with respect, age specific patient care is given according to prescribed care and patient needs, very knowledgeable
- I don’t want Andre to leave. He’s the best nurse we have on the floor.
In addition to his performance on the job, he is also above expectations for our in-house requirements; he completes all tasks, testing, etc. in a timely manner, with a great attitude. Andre is an outstanding representation of our company and we are proud to have him as part of the Aureus team.
Tanesha K., Occupational Therapist
Tanesha has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Rehabilitation Therapy Division of Aureus Medical Group. Tanesha is a loyal traveler, completing over 20 assignments for Aureus. She is dedicated to her profession and to her patients. She is able to make friends with the staff and residents wherever she goes. Tanesha is flexible in all aspects of travel: settings, schedules, and locations. Each assignment she has worked on she has been asked to extend or stay on full-time. We are proud to have Tanesha as part of the Aureus Medical team!
