What is Travel Nursing?

Think about the excitement of gearing up for a vacation to a place you’ve

When you begin your career as a travel nurse, you’ll add a new dimension to
an already rewarding profession. The difference is, you’ll be on a working
vacation in the location of your choice!
As a travel nurse, you’ll work on assignment in hospitals across the country
on a contract basis, generally from 13 to 26 weeks, sometimes more. Your
role at the healthcare facility is to fill a gap, due to an extended
absence, census fluctuation, or staff training, among other situations.
Travel nursing requires RNs who are able to jump right in as part of the
healthcare team, be flexible, and most of all, be a strong, confident, and
dedicated nurse who puts the patient first.
Travel nursing enables you to choose where you’d like to go. We’ll match you
with a travel assignment that fits the goals you envision for your career
and your life.
You’ll work closely with an experienced recruiter whose healthcare staffing
specialty is nursing. Your recruiter is your point of contact before,
during, and after your contract to ensure your assignment is going smoothly
and to begin working on securing your next one based on where you want your
next travel nursing job to take you.
While you’re a travel nurse with Aureus, we’ll cover your travel to the
location, pay for your housing, and provide the furnishings, right down to
the pots and pans. And due to the length of your assignment, you’ll live
like a local, able to fully experience your surroundings, the culture, and
all of hidden gems you may not discover if you were only visiting for a
short period of time.
