Aureus Nursing Student Connection
Even though National Nurses Week was earlier this month, our Nursing Student Outreach Coordinators wanted to give a special shout out to all of the nursing students. Check out what each of them said about why they love nurses and students.

Laura:
I enjoy working with both students and RNs to educate them on travel nursing. This group is such a great group of individuals. I think most everyone I meet has a natural desire to help others, that's why they're in school to be a nurse! I enjoy the face-to-face interaction when I'm on the road at a career fair, lunch and learn, state convention, or national convention. I love it when I see someone for a second time and they come running up to the booth and have to give me an update. I feel good when I build a relationship over the years with these students and nurses. I like hearing about school, their families, searching for that first job, vacations, and work. It makes my day when they answer the phone "Hi Laura" because they've programmed our number under my name.

I have a soft spot for those working in the health care profession, and nurses are a very special type of person. In the past five years, I have been able to meet students passionate about caring for others and watch them grow in that passion. Being a part of their journeys by offering advice, resources, job openings, and sometimes just a friendly ear has been so rewarding. Thank you for all you do and for letting me a part of it!

Nurses are the backbone of any healthcare system, so getting to work with and talk to so many talented and compassionate individuals each day makes what I do so rewarding. The chance to be a small part of a nurse's success as they accept their first travel contract or find their dream job is something I cherish each morning as I come to work. The numbers of ways nurses impact all of our lives on a daily basis is indescribable, so thank you for ALL that you do and Happy Nurses Week!

I love being able to work with nurses because I know that this is a job you have to be passionate about. It's refreshing hearing everyone rave about their jobs and how much they love their patients and the work they do. I have a few friends and family members that are in health care, so it holds a special place in my heart to be able to help individuals in similar professions!
