Summer is here and in full swing! With plans keeping everyone busy, there are some things we have been procrastinating or just plain forgot about. Plan ahead to ensure a safe and fun summer.
- Get your vehicle serviced – don’t blow a tire or overheat, etc. If you are traveling via your mode of transport, take it in and get it professionally checked to ensure everything is still in good working order. Better have the A/C systems checked as well.
- Hydrate – drink plenty of water and good fluids.
- Don’t spend too much time in the sun and make sure to use sun block. Cover up – wear a hat and sunglasses.
- Check your grills and make sure that they are in good working condition. Don’t grill too close to items that will catch fire.
- Don’t forget about water safety. Flotation devices may need to be upgraded for the kids since last year. They may have outgrown their life preservers from last summer.
These are just a few things to keep in mind as we have cookouts and enjoy the sun. Everyone’s situations are different and plans won’t be the same. Think about what you’re doing and the risk factors involved. If you don’t know, don’t do it until you have referenced it with someone who does know. Have a great and accident free summer!
