- TripAdvisor – Provides reviews of local hotels, airports, and points of interest, and even includes pictures and reviews by actual people
- Oyster.com – Provides real life photos of hotels so you won’t be fooled by flashy marketing photos and is backed up with actual investigations
- Kiplinger.com – Provides discounts for hotels, flights, and local points of interest all over the world
Tip#2
Make your airport experience a culinary adventure
- Yelp.com – Review site which lists prices from previous visitors
- Urbanspoon.com – Review site which posts photos and menus
- Check out a recent article at wsj.com (Wall Street Journal) which reveals “The Best Airport Food in the US and Beyond”
Tip #3
Get to know your airport
- Flightstats.com – Shows the lists of restaurants, amenities, terminals, flights, and delays as well as a printable map for all major airports
- Download the “Airport Maps” application on your mobile phone to have detailed maps for most major airports at your finger tips
- Download the “GateGuru” application on your mobile phone – this is a TripAdvisor company that will allow you to have a good mapping and flight listing
