Five Reasons to Travel with AureUS

When you’re a traveling nurse, physician, therapist, or other healthcare professional – seasoned or fresh into the market – there HAD to have been a point where you asked yourself, “What’s the difference between agency A, agency B, and agency C?” Have you tried researching the differences between all the agencies out there? It would take SO much time and you have patients to serve! Let me help you out and take that off your plate.

My first thought – what if said agency had won an award? Not just any award, not just a national award, but an award that covered all of North America? Something to show how dedicated they are to continuously improving partnerships with hospitals and travelers we work with? As if I planned for this to happen…C&A Industries, the parent company to Aureus Medical, has been recognized as one of Achievers 50 Most Engaged Workplaces in North America for 2017!

So, what does this ever-so-awesome-award mean for you, the traveling healthcare professional? Well, I’m glad you asked! The Achievers “Engaged Workplace” standards are based off of eight pillars: Leadership, Communication, Culture, Rewards & Recognition, Professional & Personal Growth, Accountability & Performance, Vision & Values, and Corporate Social Responsibilities.

So what do all those nice-sounding corporate phrases really mean? And how do they help you? Here is a brief breakdown of some of the pillars and how they impact our day-to-day at Aureus Medical, and in turn our ability to serve our travelers and facilities:

Leadership and Communication
Every team within Aureus Medical meets on a regular basis to strategize about each of their travelers, which facility would be the best fit, and which facilities are still great to work with. On top of that, we communicate with each other about updates within the industry so you remain informed.

Culture and Rewards & Recognition
Another fun fact: our parent company, C&A Industries, was recently named (for the seventh time) one of the Best Places to Work in 2017. We enjoy what we do because of the people we work with – and we owe a BIG thanks to you! At Aureus we recognize our great travelers in all divisions every year with our Employee of the Year Award.

Accountability & Performance
Did you know we send out multiple evaluations per assignment? This is a chance for both the facility and the traveler to keep us accountable with performance. As much as we hope and strive to hear positive feedback, we know there’s always room for improvement, so we’re open to constructive criticism as to where we can improve.

Vision & Values
Our mission statement is simple. We want to be the “staffing provider and employer of choice by helping people and companies achieve their goals”. We may not be the biggest agency out there, but we strive to be the best and deliver the best travelers to our facilities. If you work for us, we don’t think you’re great, we think you’re the BEST! Finding good people is what makes a company great and we want to continue to be one of the greats!

Corporate Social Responsibilities
This is a category I think all of us at Aureus is most excited about, and you should be too. I’m proud to share that we are an organization that invests in the well-being of the community around us. A project that we’ve been recently working on, driven by Branch Manager, Mike Maxey, is raising awareness for Youth Emergency Services (YES). With his fundraiser via his Facebook page, he plans on winning first place for the Dance For A Chance campaign in hopes to end youth homelessness. Talk about awesome!

These may only be five reasons that separate Aureus Medical from the rest, but they’re five reasons that go deeper than surface level. These are five areas that all of us at Aureus are proud to speak about, and five reasons you should want to travel with Aureus.
