Thanks for pointing out that communication skills are needed when thinking about getting a career as a medical assistant. My boyfriend’s mother was a nurse and he would like to honor her by working in the medical field someday as well. Since he is quite good at interacting with kids, I can see him getting a job as a pediatrician’s assistant after studying in a medical assistant school.

In recent years, the place of physician assistant has consistently been listed as one of the best jobs in the USA. I agree with all the challenges faced by PA mentioned here. Along with these challenges, they also face challenges like the increased costs of operating a practice, time-consuming regulatory burdens, and hassles with getting compensated by insurance companies. But rather than getting disappointed, one should implement some concrete steps to minimize the loads of these challenges and enjoy the benefits offered with this job (such as abundant job opportunities, less administrative responsibilities than a physician, flexibility to switch specialties, etc.). One can likewise look out for more advancement opportunities with the help of physician recruitment agencies and switch to other specialty.
