The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a very popular destination amongst people who enjoy the great outdoors. This national park offers hiking, fishing, and scenic drives throughout its six-mile “Roaring Form Motor Natural Trail.” It is also home of the 150-acre park, Dollywood. Here you can find Tennessee food, music, and thrill rides.
Myrtle Beach (South Carolina)
Myrtle Beach, SC is known for having nicer weather earlier in the spring time. This is a great destination for fishing, sight-seeing, and for a relaxing day on the beach. This destination also offers the ‘Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade” which includes joy rides and ocean views.
New Orleans (Louisiana)
By the time spring begins, the madness of Mardi Gras will have died down. This means a more peaceful assignment in the midst of the rich New Orleans culture. Spring is the perfect time to experience New Orleans before the crowds and humidity of summer sets in.
Cape Cod (Massachusetts)
The best time to travel to Cape Cod is before the Memorial Day crowds begin to shuffle in. The beaches are not nearly as packed, however the views are just as good. Anyone who takes an assignment in Cape Cod has the opportunity to visit the Cape Cod National Seashore, take a Blue Caw boat tour, and enjoy some genuine lobster rolls.
Washington D.C.
While Washington D.C. is a popular destination among travelers year-round, it is extra special in the spring time. The blooming cherry trees in the nation’s capital catches the eye of every pedestrian walking by. With the weather getting nicer, it is a great opportunity to experience the country’s history and historic landmarks.
The decision on where to travel this upcoming spring can be a difficult one, but a fun one nonetheless. No matter where you decide to take your spring assignment, you can truly capture the essence of spring by getting out into the fresh air, eating fresh foods, or perhaps even just freshen up your focus.
