Merry Christmas and Happy Facebooking!

As this year is coming to a close, the Imaging Team at Aureus Medical has decided we need to be in contact more with our wonderful contract employees, so we have created our own Facebook page just for the Imaging department. Apparently this whole Facebook thing is really taking off and we want to be on the front end of this new thing called social media.

We want the Imaging page to be a place we can communicate quickly and easily. Maybe it’s about work and maybe it’s not. Perhaps you took an awesome photo or made an amazing new meal while on assignment and want to share it. Maybe your fantasy football team is killing it this week, and you have to brag (playoffs for both of my teams). We will be posting jobs that we need candidates for and other pertinent information. We are all busy, especially those on assignment. Just in the way that texting has become a standard method of communication, so has Facebooking someone. There are four or five of us who are admins; we will leave it up to you to guess who? So if you have a question or need to speak with someone, we can direct you to the quickest way possible.

This time of year, we know it’s a tough time for our travelers. A lot of you are away from home, maybe in a new town and in a new job. Maybe you are traveling for Christmas back home on a long weekend. For some of you who are from the South, you are celebrating Christmas in a cold environment and that probably is a new experience for you. For those of you in Hawaii, I don’t feel too sorry for you….you are in Hawaii and learning the lyrics to Mele Kalikimaka while it’s 26 degrees in Omaha….so toughen up!! In a lot of ways, I know for me, a lot of my travelers, especially those that I have had the opportunity to work with multiple times, have become as close as family. Many times you know me just as well as other members of my family and sometimes I know you better than maybe I should. So if you are missing your family during this time of year, think of us as your family and communicate with us!

In all seriousness, the entire Aureus Medical Imaging Team wants to thank all of our current and past travelers for all their hard work in 2014 and we look forward to working with you in 2015. It’s been an awesome year, and we think 2015 is going to be even better and busier. We look forward to seeing your travel photos, travel recipes, and whatever else we end up talking about on our Facebook page. Also, if we put you in Fargo, ND for the winter, we are sorry; we will work hard to get you to Hawaii on your next assignment!!

Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!!

Andy HannemanAndy Hanneman is an Account Manager in the Diagnostic Imaging division of Aureus Medical Group. Andy and his wife just celebrated the birth of beautiful twin girls in June. When not working, his life is filled with feeding and changing diapers. (He would also like to mention the tireless efforts of his wonderful, beautiful, patient, and understanding wife who takes care of the girls full-time. Without her, his sleepless nights would be much worse.) They are thinking of opening their home as a tourist attraction and showing off “Diaper Mountain”. Andy went a little overboard when preparing for the birth of his children by stocking up on diapers and now thinks they are good for the next 2 years.
