Thank you! We look forward to Medical Laboratory Professionals Week (April 20-26) each year. This year is especially exciting for Aureus Medical, because the Med Lab division is celebrating our 10 year anniversary this April. It seems fitting that we get to celebrate Medical Laboratory Professionals Week in the same month as our inception.
Perhaps we are biased, but we believe that the professionals who work in the lab have the most critical job in a hospital or clinic. Without a laboratory and the fine folks who work in the lab, the full circle of patient care could not be completed. As we think about times in our own lives when we or someone we love has had to visit a hospital or clinic, a proper course of treatment would not have been delivered without a laboratory professional. No pressure!
The life of a laboratory professional is thankless most of the time. They rarely see the patients for whom they provide test results. Day in and day out lab professionals work tirelessly at their trade. They do it not for fame and fortune, but for the belief that they are making a difference with every test they run.
So again, thank you to each lab professional that we have had the good fortune to work with and to all of the people in the lab who complete the circle of care. We tip our hats to you and wish you the best. We hope you enjoy your special week of recognition as you go about your days.
Matt Neel joined Aureus Medical in 2004 and was the first new hire for the Medical Laboratory division. He worked as an Account Manager, providing customer service to clients and employees on assignment, marketing staffing services to potential clients, and recruiting candidates. Matt now works as Branch Manager, helping his teammates meet their goals and ensuring the Med Lab division runs smoothly every day. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his family and mountain biking.
