One Gesture Can Impact Many

I came across this article and after reading it all I can think to say is, “Wow.  Simply amazing.”  The crazy thing to me is that this physician truly doesn’t think his actions are a big deal.  It’s simply what he does; a necessary part of his job.  His actions are further widespread than just saving this one life. Think about the impact on the patient’s family and friends, his fellow colleagues, and the millions of people who have heard this story.  What this physician did is the ultimate “pay it forward” action.  Although I may not be able to perform lifesaving brain surgery in the midst of a catastrophic winter storm (but hey, not many people can), it does make me think about what smaller gestures I can do in my everyday life to positively impact those I interact with.

How has another person’s gesture affected you in a positive way?
