While you're in town, be sure to check out the local museums and other historic attractions. You will also want to take the time to enjoy some of the great eats (like a cheese steak!) in the city before heading back to you travel physical therapy assignment – it is your vacation after all!

Casper, Wyo.
From the hotels to restaurants, you will find a ton of great deals in Casper for your winter holiday. Take time off from travel therapy jobs and rent equipment so you can hit the slopes. The many venues feature downhill and cross-country skiing along with snowmobiling and snowshoeing options. If you want to head indoors for some excitement, hit the National Historic Trails Interpretive Center or the Science Zone. This popular destination regularly hosts events year-round.

Missoula, Mont.
While visiting Missoula, you can warm up with a pint at one of the local breweries or while taking a dip in the area's hot springs. Of course, there are also ample opportunities for taking on winter sports while you're visiting. In addition to taking snowmobile rentals out on the trails, there are both indoor and outdoor ice rinks for you to enjoy – just be sure not to injure yourself! Another relaxing option to get your mind off any stressors is ice fishing. Just talk to the locals to find some of the best spots around town.

Waukesha, Wis.
For a true winter experience, head to Waukesha. Not only will you find your standard winter activities (skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing), but this city has a great curling scene! Also, if you are in the mood for some sledding, there are great runs for classic toboggans. Don't worry, you can also pick up a few mementos from the unique shops along the river walk downtown. Another hotspot for visitors is The Waukesha County Museum, where you can learn about the history of area.
