Physical therapy is an important part of the rehabilitation process

Partaking in physical therapy is a vital part of rehabilitation and treatment for people who are suffering from chronic conditions or injuries, according to a published report.

Physical therapist Sara Edlebeck said physical therapy is an exceptional method for one to regain maximum capability, according to Upper Michigan Source. The site where she fulfills her physical therapy job conducted a survey that indicated 96 percent of the company's patients said the practice helped their recovery. Ninety-five percent said they would embark on physical therapy again.

"Physical therapy is often a very important step in the rehabilitation process. It's a conservative step as opposed to surgery, injections or medications," Edlebeck told the news source. "Being able to control your own body and healing process through physical therapy is more beneficial to people."

One man who endured a shoulder injury that initially prevented him from raising his elbow over his shoulder said the practice enabled him to reach his back for itches.

All U.S. states require physical therapists to be licensed, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
