Keep the faith: how to find a religious service regardless of location

Attending a religious service may be an important activity for traveling nurses.  However, constantly traveling from one location to another can make finding a church, mosque, synagogue or place to worship difficult.

Many hospitals do include a place of worship. However, if the service provided is not in accordance with the right religious denomination, try talking to the pastor or religious representative. Many will be willing to discuss local places of worship and provide suggestions.

While the old adage says never to discuss religion at work, if a traveling nurse is comfortable, she may wish to discuss directions to local places of worship and ask if there is one nearby.

The medical staffing agency a traveling nurse works for may keep documentation on local area religious services. If not, a traveling nurse should never forget the internet when searching for anything. It can provide access to location, directions, reviews and other information on most denominations.

If a nurse wishes to attend a religious service, she should never let a new location hold her back. Keep the faith – with a little time and research, a nurse may find new place of worship right around the corner.
