The Willamette Valley is the heart of Oregon?s agriculture country. During spring and summer growing seasons roadside stands dot the country lanes and farmers? markets appear in the valley?s historic towns. Covered bridges beckon drivers to explore the many back roads and the valley?s flat terrain and temperate climate make it a favorite for hikers and cyclists. The valley, dubbed Oregon?s Wine Country, is one of Oregon?s major wine-growing regions. Medical Technologist or Medical Lab Technician is needed in Oregon.
1. Certifications: ASCP is preferred.
2. Licensure: N/A, no state license is needed.
3. Experience: A Medical Technologist is preferred, but they will look at a Medical Lab Technician with a pile of experience. They need a generalist that can do everything.
4. Special Equipment/Procedures: You will be using this equipment in these areas: Hematology: LH750, Chemistry: Beckman/Coulter DXC 600 and Bayer Centaur, Coagulation: Stago Compact, Microbiology: Microscan (but probably won't be used by a temp tech) replaced with a Microscan Walkaway, Blood Banking: Tube method for compatibility testing and antibody panels and ID's, LIS: McKesson HBOC Starlab, and you will need to do some Phlebotomy if needed.
5. Environment: You will be working the second shift, but you could be working third shift if you prefer and are comfortable working solo.
