Aureus Medical is happy to announce its Employees of the Quarter. Employees are nominated by their Account Managers each quarter. The winners will then be included in the 2012 Employee of the Year nominations. Congratulations to all!
The elves of Aureus Medical were extremely busy this season, continuing the annual tradition of giving back to the community by helping children, families, and senior citizens throughout the Holidays.
The Aureus Medical spirit was at its peak as teams and departments worked together to fulfill needs, instill hope, spread cheer, and lend a hand. The generosity of employees companywide – gifts, time, monetary contributions, and other efforts – was truly extraordinary.
It’s been one crazy year…well, for me, and I thought this holiday season would be the best time to reflect on my experiences. First and foremost, I have to say, that life isn’t a bowl of cherries. In fact, there are oranges, apples, bananas and a whole basket of other fruits. I’ve started the year with a new role where I’m able to interact with students and new graduates coming into the healthcare field and it’s been fantastic. No one is the same, of course, and no matter the field (PT, OT, or SLP), everyone has their own “flavor”, if you will, that they bring to the table. I just love it!
Often throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season, there are concerns about having time off. What is the best approach for asking for time off for a holiday or a vacation?
During this time of year many people set New Year’s resolutions to make a start fresh to the upcoming year. Whether it’s exercising more, setting a budget, stopping smoking, or donating more to the community, these goals are meant to improve our own lives and those around us. And while most people have good intentions it can be very difficult to stick to your resolution. Statistics show the average length of time a person sticks with their New Year’s resolution is only about six weeks.
Congratulations our our 2011 Travelers of the Year for Healthcare Traveler magazine – Norma Bivona for Allied Health and Tia Reynolds for Nursing! You rock!
Feeling like you want to skim some fat off your holiday dinner? There are a number of healthy food choices that taste great, while giving you countless nutritional benefits.
Whether you are a new graduate or just needing a change, hunting for a job can be a daunting experience. Searching takes time, persistence, and let’s face it…some confidence. Arm yourself by knowing what to do while looking for a job. We have provided a few tips to help.
The recruiters at Aureus Medical hear the same thing every year: “I want to take time off for the holidays, but will be ready to go in January.”
We hear it from all sorts of candidates, from OR Techs to travel nurses to Allied Health professionals. We even hear it from travelers who tell us that they never take time off!
With all of the holiday festivities, vacation planning, and family time, people can find themselves with too much to do and not enough time to be responsive to companies looking to hire them.
During the course of any hiring process there are many factors that can set you apart from your fellow travelers. With the job market constantly shifting and new needs showing up at any given time, travelers must present themselves in a manner that will make the decision maker want to hire them and nobody else.
