With the wide array of legal and regulatory requirements, staying healthcare compliant can be challenging, but could be one of the most important things you do for your patients, facility and your career.
No matter your employment capacity (full time, contract traveler, per diem), each facility requires you to keep up with your compliance status. Staying compliant with your license, certifications, CPR, immunizations (TB), skill sheets, annual training and much more, show your strong commitment and integrity towards your profession.
Staying mentally and physically fit is important for everyone but essential for healthcare travelers. As mentioned in my last blog, I wanted to have current travelers give tips on how they lessen stress and keep energy up while on the road. And while most people have good intentions it can be very difficult to stick to your resolution. Statistics show the average length of time a person sticks with their New Year’s resolution is only about six weeks.
