Today’s contract employee and direct hire markets are 180 degrees different from the market two years ago. Back then, there were an abundance of jobs and high demand for both contract and full-time staff. Pay was better, benefits were better, and employees had all the leverage. However, the market has shifted drastically over the past couple years.

Everyone seems to be on Facebook, Twitter, or one of the many other social networking sites out there. These are great ways to keep in touch with friends and family. As healthcare workers, you know that the 4th of July brings in more injuries than usual with fireworks being the culprit. Several people die and many thousands more are injured each year in fireworks related accidents. Most injuries are to the hands, fingers, face and eyes. Keep yourself safe by preventing fireworks injuries. Don’t become a patient at your own facility!
