Aureus Medical is happy to announce its Employees of the Quarter. Employees are nominated by their Account Managers each quarter. The winners will then be included in the 2014 Employee of the Year nominations. Congratulations to all!

Cynthia C., EEG Tech
Cynthia has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Cardiopulmonary Division of Aureus Medical Group. Cynthia is starting her fifth assignment with Aureus this week. Managers and coworkers have praised her at her last four assignments. On top of being clinically very good at her job, she also has a wonderful attitude. Cynthia has been an outstanding asset as a traveler for Aureus Medical Group.

Alaina M., Ultrasound Tech
Alaina has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Diagnostic Imaging Division of Aureus Medical Group. Alaina has worked two assignments for Aureus and has had a great attitude throughout. She not only does ultrasouond, but also x-ray, which in itself is rare.  In addition to being caring and compassionate, she is technically skilled and never shys away from taking extra call or helping out others.

This is an excerpt from an email we received from her current assignment:

“I just wanted to let you know that our new temp ultrasound technologist is a HERO.  Friday afternoon we had a 1 year 11 month old little girl who had plain films the evening before.  We brought her back for some repeats, and I noticed that there was a mass in the right mid abdomen laterally.  At this age, in a patient with GI tract complaints, intussusception is a consideration.  We scanned the patient.  I scanned the patient first.  All I could see was some free pelvic fluid.  Alaina was in there with me.  I told her to finish scanning and to look for the appendix.  I had shown her pictures of an intussusception before we began scanning.  She found the intussusception.   That was the first one she had ever seen.  WHAT A GREAT JOB!!!”

Terrill C., Medical Laboratory Technician
Terrill has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Medical Laboratory Division of Aureus Medical Group. Terrill is currently on assignment with a new client and has made a great impression on the laboratory manager. He is going above and beyond by assisting in the training of the laboratory new employees.  Terrill is a pleasure to work with and always has a great attitude. He truly is an asset to the company.

Deborah C., Physical Therapist
Deborah has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Rehabilitation Therapy Division of Aureus Medical Group. Deborah has worked for Aureus for over two years at eight different assignments. She has been asked to extend at almost every assignment, due to her tremendous work ethic, passion for quality patient care and “can-do” attitude. Deborah is very flexible and offers to come in early/stay late to accommodate patients’ schedules or cover shifts for co-workers. She develops strong relationships with patients, patients’ families, co-workers and her supervisors. She has an adventurous spirit and is excited to be immersed in different cities and continually grow in her skills, and recently became McKenzie certified. Deborah is truly the gold standard and we are lucky to have her on the Aureus team.

Teresa N., RN (Cath Lab)
Teresa has been awarded the honor of Employee of the Quarter for the Nursing Division of Aureus Medical Group. Teresa has completed two contracts with Aureus, one in North Carolina and the second one in Iowa.  She is flexible and easy to work with. A manager at one of assignments said, “Teresa is very pleasant and nice to have around. She does what is asked of her and is flexible with taking call etc.” She and her husband have recently opened their first church. Not only does she help her patients, but they spend countless hours helping their community with prayer and counseling! Teresa is an excellent nurse and we are proud to have her as part of the Aureus Medical team.
