The Golfer’s Dream

As summer approaches, we’re always looking for new adventures. For some, the favorite summertime activity is golfing. We did a little research and found some of the best public golf courses around the country to check out while traveling. Check out the golf courses we chose below.  

Pinehurst Resort, Pinehurst, NC: Home of the 1999 US Open, this course will test your skill level from tee-green. It’s well worth the trip.

The Ocean Course, Kiawah Island, SC: Links-style golf with the addition of water, it’s sure to be one of the most scenic rounds of golf you can play.

Bethpage State Park, Farmingdale, NY: Best for the more skilled golfers, the course that has hosted a US Open is a one-of-a-kind experience you won’t want to miss.

Whistling Straits, Haven, WI: You know about this place. Sitting right on Lake Michigan, this course has turned pros’ games inside-out. Have fun and relish in the history.

Pacific Dunes, Brandon, OR: Absolutely gorgeous spot. We can’t explain eloquently enough what these 18 holes will be like, so you’ll have to just check them out on your own.

Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, CA: This gem, located right alongside the Pacific Ocean was the first public course to be voted #1 on Golf Digest’s Best Golf courses in the US.

TPC Sawgrass, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL: Very difficult course that’s worth every single lost ball. You’ve seen it on TV – The Island Green (hole #17) is one of the most famous greens in all of golf. Good luck!

The Legends Golf Course:  There are multiple Legends Golf Courses throughout the country including Orlando, FL, Temucula, CA, Glendale, AZ, and Biwabek, MN – the list goes on and on. These golf courses display renowned golf holes throughout the country in one 18-hole round. They’re definitely worth checking out on your next assignment.

This is obviously a very short list of hundreds of amazing courses throughout the country. No matter where you are, if you’re taking a long walk with a putter, you’re going to be happy. Have fun, and hit ’em long and straight!
