Medical Staffing Leader Aureus Medical Group Kicks Off Holiday Giving Program

Aureus Medical Group, a nationwide leader in healthcare staffing, announces the kick-off of its annual Holiday giving program, AurElves.  Organized by its parent company, C&A Industries, Inc., Aureus Medical employees will participate in numerous philanthropic activities benefitting local charities during the months of November and December.

C&A works with a wide variety of organizations each year to determine critical needs and pairs employees with the opportunities that fit their area of interest.  Employees participate as individuals, departments, and/or teams.  Activities include adopting families, serving meals, hosting holiday parties, organizing food drives, diaper drives, and toy drives, donating clothing and other necessities, contributing volunteer hours, and more.

Examples of Omaha area organizations served by AurElves in past years include Angels Among Us, the Salvation Army, Open Door Mission, Visiting Nurses Association, Children’s Respite Care Center, Lydia House, The Stephen Center, The Food Bank for the Heartland, Nebraska Humane Society, Sienna/Francis House, among others.

“This is an opportunity for departments and teams of employees to rally together, give back to the community in a meaningful way, and have some fun. AurElves is a tradition at C&A that is much appreciated by all of the organizations and families impacted through the program each year,” said Julia Hebenstreit, project coordinator.

AurElves activities will continue through December 31, 2012.  In recent years, more than 90 percent of C&A employees participated in an AurElves project annually.
